TierraMar worked closely with key divisional and country marine program staff (Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands) of The Nature Conservancy’s Indo-Pacific Division to develop a Coral Triangle Regional Priority Program Business Plan FY14-18. The planning process required pro-active and inclusive consultation with staff and external stakeholders to determine a workable theory of change and realistic, accomplishable five year strategies and outcomes. The challenges facing the organisation were identified and analysis of a range of emerging opportunities which could be developed to support plan implementation, including existing and potential partners and participation in various CTI platforms, was undertaken. The plan also included a comprehensive risk assessment, analysis of staff and resource needs, identification of gaps in capacity and solutions to address these and importantly, a range of options for best measuring progress and conservation impact.
